UCSF School of Nursing rose from the ashes of the great San Francisco fire and earthquake to become the preeminent nursing school in the world.

Today, it leads the way in nursing research, from heart disease and cancer, to pain management and healthy aging. The School also cares for San Francisco's most vulnerable populations with its community clinics at Glide Memorial Church, and in the Mission and Western Addition neighborhoods.

California now ranks 50th out of 50 states in the number of nurses per capita, with a nursing shortage that has become a dire public health crisis. UCSF is uniquely suited to address this challenge. We invite you to partner with us to help develop the next generation of nursing leaders.
