Should I Buy . . . ?

If something is not listed as required, we offer no specific recommendations and suggest that you make purchase decisions based on your budget or your desire for particular features or convenience.

Example 1: Should I upgrade an old computer or buy a new computer?
Answer: It doesn't matter to us as long as you meet the requirements.

Example 2: Should I buy a desktop, minitower, laptop, or all-in-one computer?
Answer: It doesn't matter to us as long as you meet the requirements. However, we strongly recommend laptops. See Should I buy a laptop?

Example 3: Does my computer need to have a floppy drive?
Answer: No, but you must have at least a 128 MB USB flash drive. Also see File Transfer Options for more information about transferring files from one computer to another.
