UCSF School of Nursing Programs of Research

There are many UCSF School of Nursing Faculty members who participate in international settings. Several of these faculty members will be presenting their research projects throughout the year at our monthly lunch meetings. UCSF International Research

UCSF Global Health Sciences is dedicated to improving health and reducing the burden of disease in the world's most vulnerable populations. Through a collaborative environment, GHS is in the process of building training and research programs to assist developing countries. Additionally, UCSF and UC Berkeley host the Institute for Global Health. This Institute is committed to improving health and increasing access to effective and affordable health services in all countries. The Institute accomplishes this by, conducting objective, multidisciplinary research; developing, implementing, and evaluating health policies; and providing high-level training to scientists, leaders, and policymakers. Sigma Theta Tau

The vision of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing (STT) is to create a global community of nurses who lead in using scholarship, knowledge and technology to improve the health of the world's people

To that end, Sigma Theta Tau provides leadership and scholarship in practice, education and research to enhance the health of all people. We support the learning and professional development of our members, who strive to improve nursing care worldwide.

We make available our diverse resources to all people and institutions interested in the scientific knowledge base of the nursing profession.

International Journal for Equity in Health

Tropical Medicine and International Health

Overseas Fellowships in Global Health and Clinical Research

The National Institutes of Health's (NIH) Fogarty International Center (FIC), in partnership with The Ellison Medical Foundation, the NIH National Center on Minority Health and Health Disparities, the NIH National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, and the NIH National Institute on Drug Abuse, is offering a one year clinical research training experience for graduate-level U.S. students in the health professions.
