"Another major strength of this book is that 35 chapters dealing with various cultures were written by different experts on each cultural group. In many cases the authors have had firsthand experience with the culture. This may ensure that the information is credible and from a highly reliable source. . . . Individuals working in the helping profession would benefit greatly from the information in this book. It would assist in addressing the needs of recent immigrants as well as individuals who identify strongly with their family roots. . . . This book is an outstanding tool for anyone seeking greater understanding of the way culture influences how adults respond to interventions and provides guidance for those who have a limited knowledge of cultures and the mannerisms associated with those cultures.
