† For California titling as a Clinical Nurse Specialist, 14 units of N400 level coursework is required (420 hours), with competencies demonstrated in expert clinical practice, education, consultation, research and clinical leadership. Requirements include the education minor.

NOTE:  Graduates are eligible to take the examination for certification as a Clinical Nurse Specialist in Community Health Nursing, a certification that is offered jointly by the American Nurses Credentialing Center in collaboration with the American Public Health Association, Public Health Nursing Section.
