Conduct multiple policy research studies on the allied health workforce. Major projects/studies include a three-year CA program supporting model program development in allied health fields, a study of the supply and demand for CNAs in California, two evaluations of the State of California workforce development initiatives, a national study analyzing models of long-term care and implications for the workforce, and other national studies on individual allied health professions including LPNs, clinical laboratory workers, cancer registrars, and EMTs and paramedics.
