Annual Report for California Nursing Home Search (http://www.calnhs.org).

This report was prepared by Charlene Harrington, Ph.D., and Janis O'Meara, M.P.A., for the California Health Care Foundation. The report describes the changes in nursing home quality and costs in California between 2001 and 2002 after the launching of a free comprehensive nursing home website (http://www.calnhs.org) in 2002. The website was designed by Charlene Harrington and colleagues at the University of California, San Francisco, the University of California, Los Angeles, RAND Corporation, and the University of Wisconsin to be used by consumers, providers and other stakeholders to find objective data about the state's nursing homes.
