As Director of the Advanced Practice Pediatric and Neonatal Nursing specialty area (website) in the Master of Science program, I have been instrumental in the development and implementation of multiple courses in each specialty curriculum. My teaching focuses on neonatal and pediatric physiology and pathophysiology, and on infant growth and development for neonatal, pediatric and nurse midwifery graduate nursing students.
I am also involved in various clinical teaching opportunities and student clinical monitoring in many San Francisco Bay Area hospitals.
My clinical focus is on the development of clinical nursing excellence through quality improvement and safety in nursing practice in neonatal and pediatric clinical practice environments.
