Monthly Evening Information Sessions

Options for Advanced Nursing Education

Please join us for one of our monthly evening information sessions if you desire an introduction to the School of Nursing at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF).

The sessions will include information on opportunities in advanced nursing education: our Master of Science (M.S.) programs, and Doctoral of Philosophy (Ph.D.) programs. Also included is our Masters Entry Program (MEPN) for college graduates wishing to enter the nursing profession. Sessions for the ADN to MS Pathway program (for RNs) may also be scheduled, as shown below.

Schedule

These information sessions are generally scheduled on the first Tuesday or the first Thursday in the first full week of each month, from 6:00 · 8:00 p.m. The following dates have been scheduled.

Location (UCSF)

UCSF is San Francisco's second-largest employer; with worksites at several medical centers and many other locations in the city of San Francisco.

However, the School of Nursing and many other important campus buildings are within the UCSF Parnassus Avenue Campus, located in the "Inner Sunset District" neighborhood, on the western side of the city of San Francisco near Golden Gate Park.  Click the city map at right to see UCSF's Parnassus Campus site.

To reach the UCSF Parnassus Avenue Campus, obtain driving directions or for public transportation and additional maps, please visit http://www.ucsf.edu/campuses/direction.html (UCSF web page).

Upon arriving at the campus, note that some of the buildings are set back and cannot be seen from the public street. It may be necessary to pass through the buildings fronting on Parnassus Avenue, using stairs or elevators to reach your destination.

In particular, the School of Nursing Building ("N") is positioned out-of-view uphill and behind the Clinical Sciences Building ("C") at 530 Parnassus Ave. However, interior hallways connect floors two through seven of building C to building N.

Information sessions are usually held in the second-floor classrooms in the School of Nursing Building, or in the Health Sciences West Tower ("HSW"). Because of the sloping terrain, the ground-level floor of the Nursing building is floor number two, and the ground-level floor of HSW is floor number three.

You must use elevators or stairways to reach floors 2-3 from Parnassus Avenue building entrances.
